Bison & Refried Bean Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 tube Grands corn meal biscuits
- 1 16-oz. can refried beans
- 1 pound ground Bison
- 1 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 ounces chopped, canned green chilies
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 1 medium onion, chopped
Instructions
Flatten biscuits onto bottom and up the sides of a greased 12-in. pizza pan, making sure to pinch together (no holes!). Bake in 400o over for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool. Meanwhile, brown Bison lightly. Add water, chilies and taco seasoning and boil gently for 5 minutes. Spread beans over biscuit crust. Top with the Bison mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden. Top with lettuce, tomato and onion. Serves 4 to 6.
